MoveMobility conversion warranty featured image

Have you ever signed off on a vehicle purchase and then wondered, “What happens if something goes wrong six months from now?” When you’re investing in a specialized vehicle, your conversion warranty quickly becomes more than fine print. It becomes peace of mind.

If you’re leading a health centre in Northern Ontario, managing transportation for seniors in British Columbia, or coordinating outreach in Manitoba, you’re carrying real responsibility. A breakdown can cancel a dialysis appointment, disrupt a vaccination clinic, or leave someone waiting in the cold. That gap between buying a vehicle and feeling fully protected is stressful. You want confidence that your wheelchair van warranty or mobile medical van warranty will actually support you when it counts.

Au MoveMobilityNous avons dépensé plus de 20 ans building vehicles that remove barriers to care and connection across Canada. In the past three years alone, we’ve manufactured more than 480 fourgons pour fauteuils roulants and 180 unités médicales mobiles. We’re certified under the Ford Pro Upfitter program and Stellantis QPro, and our vehicles carry the Marque nationale de sécurité. We’ve partnered with organizations like Centre de santé communautaire Quest to help communities move forward with dignity. Still, we know we are one of several manufacturers, so clear information matters.

  • Comment ? You request warranty assistance.

  • Quoi ? Our van conversion limited warranty includes.

  • Which: Component warranties apply, including Webasto, BraunAbility, AMF-Bruns, Intermotive, and Q’Straint.

Let’s walk through it together.

How do you get warranty assistance?

When your conversion warranty needs to be used, the first thing to know is that it’s about solving your problem quickly and keeping your vehicle working for the people who depend on it. You want support that gets you moving again without confusion. The process is straightforward and built around helping you.

Step 1: Reach out to us

Call or email MoveMobility’s warranty team. You can reach us at 877-781-8267 ou service@movemobility.ca. Tell us what’s happening with your vehicle.

Have these ready:

  • VIN (numéro d'identification du véhicule)

  • What issue or problem you’re seeing

  • Odometer reading

  • Photos of the issue, if possible

  • This helps us understand your situation faster and support you better.

Step 2: We review and advise

Once you’ve contacted us, we’ll review your information. If the issue falls under your wheelchair van warranty or mobile medical van warranty, we’ll approve the next steps in writing before any work starts. It’s important that approval happens first, because warranty work done without it won’t be paid.

Step 3: Approved service work

We’ll tell you where to take the vehicle. Work must be done at a MoveMobility-approved service centre or facility we recommend. This ensures technicians understand conversion components and won’t accidentally void warranties. If you’re in the GTA, we can come to you.

Step 4: Quotes and billing

Any service facility must send a formal quote before it begins work. When repairs are completed, invoices go to MoveMobility’s warranty department for review. If parts need to be sent out, they’re usually shipped freight collect.

Imagine you’re running a transit program in Alberta and the wheelchair lift sputters. You take photos and the VIN, then call our warranty team. We check your information, approve the work, and direct you to an approved shop so you don’t deal with surprises or hidden costs. That’s how the process should feel: clear and supportive.

What does MoveMobility’s conversion warranty include?

Van de démonstration de la clinique mobile MoveMobility

When you’re investing in a specialized vehicle, your conversion warranty should feel clear and solid. You’re planning routes, staffing clinics, and booking client trips. The last thing you want is confusion about coverage if something breaks.

Here’s the foundation of your MoveMobility van conversion warranty.

Core coverage

MoveMobility van conversions are warranted to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for:

  • Three (3) years

  • 36,000 miles / 60,000 km, whichever comes first

This coverage starts from the date your vehicle is delivered.

If a component we installed fails due to its construction or a material defect, it falls under this conversion warranty. That includes the parts and the labour tied directly to the conversion work we completed.

  • Conversion components: Parts added or modified during the conversion process are covered. This may include flooring systems, installed seating, cabinetry, interior panels, wiring added for the conversion, and other conversion-specific elements.

  • Conversion labour: If a covered part fails due to a workmanship issue, the labour required to repair or replace that part is included within the warranty period.

  • Clear limits: This warranty applies to defects in conversion workmanship and materials. It does not cover accident damage, misuse, normal wear and tear, or alterations made after delivery by others.

Your wheelchair van warranty or mobile medical van warranty works together with other manufacturer warranties so that responsibility is clearly defined. That way, you’re not left guessing who to call.

All HVAC systems, wheelchair lifts and ramps, and lowerings are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Keep reading to learn more about the warranty policy for the respective manufacturer.

Webasto limited non-transferable warranty

Your conversion warranty covers the work we complete during your vehicle build. Your air conditioning system, however, is backed by Webasto’s own manufacturer’s warranty. This is important if you operate in places like Northern Alberta or rural Saskatchewan, where climate control directly affects client comfort and safety.

Here are the most important points you need to know.

What Webasto covers

  • Coverage period: Webasto warrants its air conditioning systems against defects in materials and workmanship for one (1) year from the date of installation or vehicle registration for OEM-installed systems. The coverage cannot exceed eighteen (18) months from Webasto’s original sale date.

  • Who is protected: The warranty protects the original end-user. It is non-transferable.

  • What Webasto will do: During the warranty period, Webasto may repair or replace defective parts at its discretion. Replacement parts are covered for six (6) months or the remainder of the original warranty, whichever is longer.

  • Where service happens: Warranty service must be handled through an authorized Webasto dealer. In Canada, you can call 800-667-8900 or visit www.webasto.com to locate a dealer.

What is not covered

Webasto clearly excludes:

  • Normal wear items like filters and fuses

  • Damage from accidents or improper installation

  • Corrosion, misuse, lack of maintenance, or unauthorized repairs

  • Travel costs or other incidental expenses

Product registration can be completed at www.techwebasto.com. If the unit is not registered, proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.

Understanding this part of your wheelchair van warranty or mobile medical van warranty helps you know exactly who supports your HVAC system.

Next, you’ll learn about BraunAbility’s warranty.

Fauteuil roulant fixé sur l'élévateur de BraunAbility

If your vehicle includes a Braun élévateur pour fauteuil roulant, this part of your warranty is covered by BraunAbility. A lift is often the gateway to care, community, and independence. When it stops working, everything stops. So let’s break down the most important parts of Braun’s coverage in simple terms.

What is covered and for how long?

  • Parts coverage: Braun covers certain lift parts for three (3) years or 10,000 cycles, whichever comes first.

  • Labour coverage: Labour to repair or replace covered parts is included for one (1) year or 3,000 cycles.

  • Here’s something important. If the warranty registration card is returned within 20 days of the lift being put into service, labour coverage increases to three (3) years or 10,000 cycles.

  • Power train coverage: With proper registration, key lift power train components are covered for five (5) years or 15,000 cycles for parts only. These include items like the cable, cylinder, gearbox, motor, pump, hydraulic hose, fittings, and flow control.

This warranty applies only to the first purchaser and cannot be transferred.

What will Braun do?

If a defect in material or workmanship is found:

  • In year one, parts and labour are covered.

  • In years two and three, parts are covered.

  • In years four and five, certain powertrain parts are covered for parts only.

Repairs must be completed by an authorized Braun service centre.

What is not covered?

Braun does not cover:

  • Normal wear and maintenance

  • Damage from misuse, accidents, overloading, or poor maintenance

  • Travel costs, towing, lodging, or loss of use

  • Parts covered by other manufacturers

You must notify an authorized service centre within the warranty period and schedule service promptly. Transportation costs are your responsibility.

Understanding this part of your wheelchair van warranty helps you plan for real-world lift usage across Canada.

Next, we’ll walk through AMF-Bruns’ warranty coverage.

AMF-Bruns warranty coverage for restraints and seating systems

If your vehicle includes securement systems or flexible seating, AMF-Bruns plays a big role in your overall conversion warranty picture. These systems protect passengers. They support dignity. They make safe travel possible. So it helps to know exactly what coverage looks like.

What is covered and for how long?

AMF-Bruns warrants that its products meet manufacturing specifications and are free from defects in materials and craftsmanship.

Coverage depends on the product type:

  • Platinum series restraints: 5 years

  • Silver and Black series restraints: 3 years

  • Smartseats, Smartlegs, Smartfloors: 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first

  • Head and backrests: 1 year

  • Ramps: 1 year

  • Hide-A-Way, EasyPull, Steps, Accessories: 1 year

If a part is found defective within its warranty period, AMF-Bruns or an authorized dealer will repair or replace it at no charge for the part itself.

What is not covered?

There are some limits to be aware of.

  • Labour and transport: The warranty does not cover transportation, labour, or other incidental costs related to removing or replacing parts.

  • Misuse or damage: Coverage does not apply if defects are caused by accidents, misuse, poor maintenance, fire, flood, alterations, or using the product outside its intended design.

  • Authorized dealers may inspect parts to confirm the issue is due to a defect and not incorrect use.

Stay tuned for the next section, where we’ll look at InterMotive’s warranty coverage.

InterMotive warranty coverage for electronic control systems

If your vehicle includes InterMotive electronic control systems, this part of your overall conversion warranty framework is important. These systems often manage idle control, safety interlocks, and other key vehicle functions that help your wheelchair van or mobile medical van operate safely in real-world conditions.

What is covered and for how long?

InterMotive warrants its product for:

  • One (1) year from the date the product was shipped from InterMotive, or

  • Two (2) years from the in-service date, if the warranty registration is completed online

Coverage applies when the product fails to function properly under normal use due to a manufacturing defect. The system must be installed and operated according to InterMotive’s written instructions.

If a covered defect is confirmed, InterMotive will repair or replace the product at its discretion with a comparable unit at no charge for the part itself.

This warranty does not apply if:

  • The product was modified

  • The chassis was altered in a way that changes how the InterMotive system was intended to be installed

  • The system was installed in a way that does not follow the manufacturer’s instructions

In simple terms, proper installation and registration matter. That’s what protects your coverage.

Lastly, we’ll review Q’Straint’s warranty coverage.

Q’Straint’s limited warranty coverage for securement systems

Your tie-downs and occupant securement systems protect the people you serve every day. That’s why understanding Q’Straint’s warranty is an important part of your full conversion warranty picture.

What is covered and for how long?

Q’Straint’s limited warranty applies to factory defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage depends on the product series:

  • Q’POD, QRT-3, QRT-5: 5 years

  • QRT Max, QRT Deluxe, QLK-150, Q’UBE: 3 years

  • QRT Standard, Q-5000, M-Series, QLK-110: 2 years

  • All other products: 1 year

There’s one key condition. These coverage periods are only valid if the product is properly registered with Q’Straint. If registration is not completed, all products default to a 1-year limited warranty.

The warranty period begins from the date the product ships from Q’Straint. Defects must appear and be reported within the applicable warranty period.

If a covered defect is confirmed, Q’Straint will repair or replace the product at its discretion.

What is not covered?

Q’Straint does not cover:

  • Improper installation or maintenance

  • Misuse, abuse, accidents, or exposure to harsh elements

  • Altered products or repairs done by unauthorized providers

  • Normal wear and routine maintenance
